A trio of local tourists stops were included in the Oregon Business magazine’s top 100 fan-favorite destinations in Oregon.
The Pendleton House Historic Inn placed 11th on the list, while Tamastslikt Cultural Institute was 28th and the SAGE Center was 53rd.
Located at 311 N. Main St., the Pendleton House was No. 1 in last year’s rankings. In addition to accommodations, it offers fine dining, and serves as a wedding and event venue.
Operated by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, Tamastslikt preserves the history of area tribes. It features a permanent collection and rotating exhibits. It’s located near Wildhorse Resort & Casino in Mission.
The SAGE Center — Sustainable AGriculture & Energy — is an interactive visitor center at 101 Olson Road, Boardman. Developed by the Port of Morrow, it also includes a theater.
Researchers studied 38,000 reviews on Google, TripAdvisor and Yelp, which are the most widely used online review sites. The top destinations will be charted on a map for people to use as a guide when traveling across the state. They will be distributed at visitor centers and at the state’s borders.
