Published on November 4, 2017 12:01AM

JOSEPH — In an effort to showcase original music, the Wallowa Valley Music Alliance hosts a monthly Tunesmith Night.

The upcoming event features a trio of songwriters, including MAITA, a Portland indie songstress whose debut EP offers haunting vocals and unexpected melodies; Ismay, a northern California singer, guitarist and songwriter who draws inspiration from the natural landscape; and Matt Zeltzer, a California musician who weaves folk, blues and soul idioms into his artful performances.

The show is Saturday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Gold Room at the Jennings Hotel, 100 N. Main St., Joseph. The cost is $10 for the all-ages event. No food or beverage service is available, but people may bring their own.
