Commander to discuss ‘Women in Combat’

PENDLETON — Commander of the Army National Guard in Pendleton will discuss “Women in Combat” during the upcoming Round-Up Republican Women’s meeting.

Breanna Westman-Evans has experience as a battle captain in an Iraq combat zone. The public is invited to hear her speak Thursday at 11:45 a.m. at the Red Lion, 304 S.E. Nye Ave., Pendleton. The no-host meal costs $11 for members and $13 for non-members.

In addition, the event will include a presentation and display of uniforms from the Pendleton Air Museum.
