The preparatory orchestra of the Inland Northwest Musicians will open its season with performances in Irrigon and Helix.
The Willow Creek Symphony, which features student musicians and adults from across the region, will be joined by members of the Inland Northwest Orchestra for the concerts. The program includes “Fiddler’s Day,” “Grand March,” Chopsticks” and “Calypso Strings.” The symphony is under the direction of R. Lee Friese, music director and conductor, and associate conductor Ralph Werner.
The free performances are Saturday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. at Irrigon Elementary School, 490 S.E. Wyoming Ave., and Sunday, Nov. 19, 4 p.m. at Helix School, 120 Main St. Audience members are invited to receptions after each show. Donations are accepted.
Formed in 1999, Inland Northwest Musicians supported musicians in developing their talent. People are invited to join without auditioning.
