PORTLAND — In celebration of World Wetlands Day, the public is invited to visit the Oregon Zoo.
Free admission is available Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will include special activities and talks by zookeepers (between 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.) highlighting animals that depend on wetlands, including river otters, crocodiles and flamingos.
The zoo is located off Highway 26, five minutes from downtown Portland. There is a fee for parking..
