PORTLAND — High school seniors from across the state who plan to major or minor in music in college are invited to apply for an Oregon Music Hall of Fame scholarship.
Both voice and instrumental musicians are encouraged to apply. Four $2,500 scholarships will be awarded in an effort to further inspire the continuing of higher education in the field of music. Students may use the scholarship money at any college or university in the country.
The Oregon Music Hall of Fame is a nonprofit organization that was created to help preserve Oregon’s unique musical heritage. Its focus is to recognize and promote the legacy of exceptional Oregon musicians of the past, promote promising new Oregon musicians of today and to enrich music education programs in order to train musicians of tomorrow.
