Music workshop focuses on eye-hand coordination

HERMISTON — An upcoming music workshop will examine ways to further develop hand-eye coordination of piano students.

The free event is offered by the Umatilla-Morrow District of the Oregon Music Teachers Association in partnership with the Oregon Community Foundation and the Nellie Tholen Fund. Presented by Deborah Cleaver, “Where to Look When: Developing Hand-Eye Coordination” is Saturday, March 17 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 850 S.W. 11th St., Hermiston.

The workshop is open to music teachers and anyone else who is interested in attending. Advanced registration is not required. Participants are welcome to bring examples of passages that cause problems for their students.
