Scholarship offered to female BMCC student

PENDLETON — P.E.O. Chapter BJ of Pendleton is offering a $2,000 scholarship to a young woman planning to enroll as a full-time student at Blue Mountain Community College for the 2018-2019 school year. Any woman who is a graduate of Pendleton, Pilot Rock, Nixyaawii, Weston-McEwen or Griswold high schools is eligible to submit an application for this award.

Each applicant shall have previously completed a minimum of three terms or two semesters of post-secondary study as a full-time student at any institute of higher education.

Guidelines and applications for the Chapter BJ Blue Mountain Community College Scholarship Program are available from Margaret Gianotti, Blue Mountain Community College Foundation director, at the Foundation’s office on the BMCC campus in Pioneer Hall. Due date for submissions is April 10, 2018.

P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization, where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
