Fishery managers in Oregon and Washington are looking to fill positions on two joint advisory committees managed between the states, overseeing sport and commercial fishing interests on the Columbia and Snake rivers.

Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, Nov. 30. Terms are for three years, from 2018-2020.

Up to 20 people will be accepted on each advisory group — one for commercial fishing, and one for recreational fishing. The two committees meet two to four times per year to help develop recommendations for salmon, steelhead, sturgeon and smelt fisheries.

Any group or individual may submit a nomination. Nominations should include a résumé with contact information and a statement describing the person’s fishing experience and interest in serving on the committee.

Nominations can be mailed to John North at the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, 17330 S.E. Evelyn St., Clackamas, OR 97015, by fax at 971-673-6072 or email john.a.north@state.or.us.
