Jim was a teacher of political science and economics for 30 years at Pendleton High School where he was universally adored by his students. He was a husband for 62 years, father of two sons, grandfather to four, and great-grandfather to five.
Jim passed peacefully in his sleep with his wife Beryl at his bedside. He will be remembered for his love of family and teaching and for his sense of humor.
A memorial service will be held on October 3 at 1:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis, 2945 N.W. Circle, with a reception to follow at the home, 755 N.W. Sundance Circle.
In lieu of flowers donations in Jim’s name can be made to Lumina Hospice and Palliative Care or Heartland Humane Society.
