Geneva Eddings was born Aug. 31, 1908 in Troy, Idaho, the daughter of William and Alice (Miller) Perkins. She passed away in Hermiston on Dec. 26, 2017, at the age of 109.
Geneva lived near Colfax, Washington, as a child where she attended school. She married Benjamin Ralph Eddings in Tacoma, Washington, on July 18, 1928. The couple lived in the Tacoma area until the late-1940s where she worked as a welder in the Navy shipyards during World War II. After the war, they moved to New Orleans where they resided until the mid1960s. They moved back to Snoqualmie, Washington, where she resided until moving to Phoenix, Arizona, with her daughter in 2006. She moved to Hermiston in the spring of 2017.
Geneva was an expert seamstress and a crafted sweater maker. She loved her time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, in 1984; a brother, William, and grandsons, Calvin Brett Jones and Robert Reed Miller.
She is survived by her children; son, Ralph H. Eddings; daughters, Verlie Miller and Muriel Eddings; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A small family gathering was held locally. Interment will be in the Fall City Cemetery in Fall City, Washington.
