She was raised in Elkton, Md., and graduated from Elkton High School in 1972. Her heart’s desire was to be a wife and mother. She met the love of her life, Martin L. Brown Jr., in 1972 and they were married on January 27, 1973.
In 1979 they moved to Oregon. They lived in Boardman for a short time before settling in Irrigon. She worked at Lamb Weston for many years before moving to Florida. In Naples,
Patty started working for a local school district as a food service worker. She loved working with the students and seeing their smiling faces. She enjoyed going to the beach after work, swimming and sitting in the warm sun. Patty loved the ocean and being outdoors. A favorite hobby of Patty’s was going shopping with her friends and family.
In 2004, they moved back to Irrigon to be closer to their grandchildren. Patty continued to work as an assistant cook at Riverside High School and later as a head cook at Windy River Elementary. She truly loved working with children.
Patty was a 38-year member of Irrigon Assembly of God (now Family Worship Center). While living in Florida, she was a member of Golden Gate Assembly of God.
