Randy Bryan Jones, 53, of Stanfield, Ore., passed away on April 26, 2018, in the Umatilla National Forrest near Dale, Ore.
He was born on August 8, 1964, to Leslie C. and Katherine (Coleman) Jones in Harbor City, Calif. He lived on the coast of California in Huntington Beach, growing up and attended Barstow High School in Barstow, Calif. He also lived in Newberry Springs, Riverside and Phelan, Calif. He moved to Oregon and lived in Eugene and Irrigon before finally settling in Stanfield.
He was married and divorced three times.
He worked for Union Pacific Railroad and had also worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Boeing.
He excelled in sports. He loved to play football. As a youth he received many football trophies. As an adult he loved to play softball and loved to bowl. He received softball and bowling trophies.
In addition to sports he liked to stay active and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, riding motorcycles, and playing Spades and Poker.
He is survived by his daughter Adrian N. Jones of Moreno Valley, Calif.; three brothers, Rodney A. Jones (Annie) of Chatsworth, Ga., Raymond L. Jones (Yolanda) of Brookings, Ore., and Rusty W. Jones (Penny) of Wilmington, N.C.; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Leslie and Katherine Jones.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 5 p.m. It will take place at Desert Lanes Bowling Alley located at 1545 N. First St. in Hermiston, Ore.
