Margaret “Lucille” Faircloth, known to everyone as “Mother,” passed away on August 29, 2018. She was born on April 16, 1932, in Houston, Texas, to Audrey and Velma King. She attended school in Portales, New Mexico.
She was married to Jerald Faircloth until he passed away in 1967. She was a bartender, where many got to know her as Mother. Her greatest achievements were her six children, even earning an award as Mother of the Year. Her children are Gale Walker (Alan) of Milton-Freewater, Ore., Sis Leighty (Don) of Milton-Freewater, Ore., Kay Sturgis (Hugh) of Scappose, Ore., Mike Faircloth (Dawn) of Oregon City, Ore., Vicki Oldenstadt (Larry) of Tualatin, Ore., and David Faircloth (Denel) of Beaverton, Ore.
She is also survived by her brother Wayne King of Milton-Freewater, Ore., and 14 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Gerald King and Bud King, and her husband.
Interment was held Sunday, September 2, 2018, at the Weston Cemetery in Weston, Oregon.
