A neighbor’s fowl made too much noise and scam artists may have been operating at a Walmart

10:38 a.m. - Hermiston police received a report of drivers having to go around a red Cadillac parked in the middle of West Jennie Avenue near North First Street.

10:53 a.m. - A Hermiston resident on Southwest Birch Drive complained about the neighbor’s chickens and the rooster making noise at all hours.

12:46 p.m. - An employee of The Salvation Army told Pendleton police she was at the Pendleton Walmart and saw a group of people at the store’s entrances and exits asking for donations for our local homeless people. The woman said she asked the group questions about their program, and they told her to get away and shoved her. She said she was concerned the group was scamming people.

5:20 p.m. - A wife told Umatilla police her husband caused a disturbance in the road at Powerline Road and Pierce Avenue.

9:12 p.m. - Pendleton police received a 9-1-1 report of possible domestic violence involving children.

9:31 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of assault involving two males who hit another male at the Shell station, Irrigon.

10:35 p.m. - Boardman police responded to the Maple Crest Apartments on a report of an assault.


•Oregon State Police arrested Jack Alden Stewart, 63, of Molalla, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (controlled substance).
