TUESDAY

10:51 a.m. - An Irrigon man on Southeast 13th Street reported the theft of his chain saw and leaf blower. He said he may have forgotten to lock the doors into his shop or another outbuilding, but the locks were not broken.

11:32 a.m. - A caller said she was in the road at Bunker Hill Lane and Highway 74, Heppner, when the pickup in front of her stopped and started going backward. She said she would have to replace her bumper.

11:47 a.m. - A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy assisted a citizen on Northwest Water Street, Heppner, after a tree branch he was cutting off hit him in the head. He was OK, though.

11:58 a.m. - A Hermiston woman called police and said her husband threatened to file a missing persons report on her because she was leaving him.

11:59 a.m. - Pendleton police and emergency services responded to Southwest Emigrant Avenue and Third street for a report of a vehicle that struck a mailman.

12:28 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a request to take a bulldog from a home on Locust Road, Milton-Freewater, because the owner is in a treatment center, so no one is home to take care of the dog.

4:23 p.m. - A man called 911 and reported he was in a crash at Bensel Road and North Highway 395, Hermiston, but the other driver took off. He also said he was not injured and nothing was blocking traffic, though there was crash debris on the road.

4:42 p.m. - Another 911 caller reported a vehicle drove into a field off Grant and Lefore roads, Milton-Freewater.

4:42 p.m. - And to make it a trifecta, two vehicles crashed at Southgate Place and Southwest 37th St., Pendleton, and blocked northbound traffic on Southgate Place.

4:56 p.m. - A woman told Hermiston police she left her car unlocked on West Sunland Avenue, and someone entered it and stole clothes, a pair of shoes, and a box containing old cell phones, tablets and pay stubs, plus $2. She added this may have happened Monday night.

6:37 p.m. - Pendleton police took a report of an assault of a girl at Pendleton High School.
