Dogs on the loose or barking drew complaints, and one man reported the theft of several guns

12:11 a.m. - A Hermiston caller on Northeast Sixth Street reported a prowler jumped her fence and went to a nearby neighbor’s house.

10:49 a.m. - Umatilla police responded to K Street on a complaint of a small dog on the loose.

11:31 a.m. - Hermiston police received a complaint about a dog on West Cedar Drive that barks for two or three hours after its owners let it outside around 6 a.m.

3:07 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of a male and female physically fighting at South Main Street and Southeast Dorion Avenue.

3:20 p.m. - Umatilla police responded to a 911 call about domestic disturbance on Pheasant Ridge Street.

4:09 p.m. - Two dogs chased a couple of juveniles in the area of West Locust Avenue and Fourth Street, Hermiston.

4:23 p.m. - A resident outside Milton-Freewater on Highway 332 reported a burglary at his home and the theft of four rifles and a shotgun. He said the crime may have occurred Sunday. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

4:38 p.m. - A Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of illegal dumping at Northeast 10th Street and East Theater Lane, Hermiston, and gave a citation for littering.

8:58 p.m. - An employee at the Pendleton Market, 2101 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton, reported a customer seemed intoxicated and left in a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse. Police were not able to find the driver.

11:19 p.m. - A caller said he wanted to trespass someone from his South Main Street property, but the person was not there at the time.



•Umatilla tribal police arrested Charles Edward Whetstine, 48, no address provided, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol).

•Oregon State Police cited Herbert William Hill, 38, of Irrigon, for felony driving while suspended.


•Umatilla tribal police arrested Robert Garcia Deltoro, 32, no address provided, for felony DUII.
