Pendleton had its share of fights, a deputy helped a dog, and someone stole a lawn mower with winter just around the corner

3:12 p.m. - Several males appeared to be fighting at Fallen Field at the north end of Southwest 18th Street, Pendleton.

3:52 p.m. - Pendleton police began an investigation into a theft at McKay Creek Estates, 1601 Southgate Place, Pendleton.

4:53 p.m. - A caller told Hermiston police two males were on a bench in front of Dance Unlimited, 1000 Highway 395, Hermiston, and drinking from a 40-ounce beer bottle.


2:09 a.m. - Pendleton police received a report of five or six males fighting on South Main Street.

10:05 a.m. - A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy took a malnourished dog from a residence at Northwest Gale and Water streets, Heppner, to the city pound.

11 a.m. - A resident of the 200 block of North Main Street, Milton-Freewater, reported someone hooked up an electrical cord to an outside outlet without permission.

2:37 p.m. - Pendleton police investigated an assault at Washington Elementary School, 1205 S.E. Byers Ave., Pendleton.

3:40 p.m. - A 911 caller reported a domestic disturbance at Til Taylor Park, 700 S.E. Dorion Ave., Pendleton.

4:21 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report for the theft of a light bar from a carport on Northwest Sage Hill Driver, Heppner. The crime happened sometime in the last month.

4:38 p.m. - Milton-Freewater police took a theft report for a tool box, drill and bicycle from a garage on the 100 block of Northeast Seventh Avenue.

4:54 p.m. - A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy told a man there were safer places to shoot his handgun than just outside the urban growth boundary of Boardman near Quail Lane.

7:56 p.m. - A caller reported a man caused a disturbance on the Kayak Public Transit shuttle on the 300 block of Southwest Dorion Avenue, Pendleton.

9:45 p.m. - A caller on the 800 block of College Street, Milton-Freewater, reported the theft of a lawn mower.



•Pendleton police arrested Leonel Murillo, 19, of Hermiston, for driving under the influence of intoxicants,

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Wallace Alan Wildbill, 31, of 23 Cayuse Loop, Pendleton, for dangerous drugs, criminal activity in drugs and criminal trespass.

•Hermiston police arrested Victor Manuel Ornelas Cisneros, 38, of 79 Hemlock Court, Umatilla, for felony third-degree assault and on a warrant for failure to appear.
