Stanfield police cracked down on code violations, a taco truck drew a noise complaint

8:57 a.m. - Oregon State Police responded to Big 5 Sporting Goods. 1968 N. First St., Hermiston, for the denial of a gun purchase.

2:36 p.m. - Umatilla police responded to the Marina Apartments, 1600 Second St., on a 911 report of an aggressive dog.

3:12 p.m. - A resident on Yucca Avenue, Hermiston, asked to talk to an officer about a neighbor dispute.

3:18 p.m. - Stanfield police spent about 40 minutes visiting more than 30 addresses dealing with city code violations ranging from a large hole in a yard from a tree removal to junk vehicles to piles of garbage around homes.

4:56 p.m. - An anonymous caller told Hermiston police the taco truck at Southwest Third Street and West Orchard Avenue needs to turn down its music.

10:45 p.m. - A caller on Southwest 11th Street, Hermiston, reported a male hit a female and then walked away.

11:28 p.m. - A Pilot Rock resident on Southwest Cedar Street told police she asked the neighbor to turn down the music, but after she left they turned it up.


10:01 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen vehicle on West Bridge Street, Echo.

2:38 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to the Umatilla County Courthouse, 216 S.E. Fourth St., for three males fighting.

7:22 p.m. - Two cars drew a complaint for doing donuts in the parking lot of the Pendleton Walmart, 2203 S.W. Court Ave.

9:16 p.m. - Umatilla police responded to Country Club Manor Apartments, 605 Umatilla Ave., for a fight in progress.


8:40 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater man told police someone entered his home on the 100 block of West Broadway and stole multiple items.

9:26 a.m. - The military notified local law enforcement about controlled demolition on the Umatilla Army Depot near Hermiston.

9:42 p.m. - A caller on East Jennie Avenue, Hermiston, told police a male hurt her and still was at her home.



•Oregon State Police arrested Grace Lee Riley, 54, of Oregon, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

•Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rafael Rene Garza, 37, of Irrigon, for a probation violation and possession of methamphetamine, both felonies.


•Stanfield police arrested Shelby Anne Tucker, 25, of 435 N. Sloan St., Stanfield, for reckless driving, driving while suspended, and felony attempt to elude. Umatilla County Circuit Court records show Tucker pleaded guilty on Oct. 6 to driving under the influence of intoxicants stemming from a July arrest. Circuit Judge Eva Temple on Nov. 3 sentenced Tucker for that crime, and a part of the punishment includes the suspension of her driving license for three years.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lucino Nava, 24, no address provided, for felony attempt to elude and DUII.
