9:30 a.m. - Staff at St. Mary’s Outreach, 440 S.W. Emigrant Ave., Pendleton, reported a theft. Police did not find the suspect.

11:49 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Short Road, Irrigon, of a dog with an abscess that looked infected. A deputy talked to the dog’s owner, who said the dog has a tumor and went to the veterinarian.

3:44 p.m. - A woman asked to talk to Pendleton police about a person harassing and stalking her.

6:02 p.m. - Oregon State Police responded to the Milton-Freewater area of Highway 332 eastbound near milepost 2 to assist with a vehicle fire. The trooper found the vehicle — a Volkswagen Jetta, which the fire fully destroyed — but no driver.

The trooper later contacted the car’s owner, who said the fire started due to a mechanical problem, and he tried to put it out but could not. The owner told the trooper he left because he did not think the fire department was coming.

8:48 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to the 400 block of North First Street for a disturbance.
