A complaint about a dog led to a citation, a woman wanted her ex-husband out of the house, and pickup’s driver turned out not to be a thief

5:37 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of parents fighting at a home in Irrigon. The caller said it was not physical but “Dad can get aggressive.”

8:37 a.m. - Pendleton police took a report for a vehicle theft from the parking lot of Pendleton Chamber of Commerce, 501 S. Main St.

9:55 a.m. - A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy checked on a report in Irrigon about a man who was drinking and driving and assaulted his wife. The suspect also might have had a gun.

10:42 a.m. - A citizen asked to speak to Hermiston police about placing “Fender Bender” signs around town.

12:51 p.m. - A Boardman man told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office he was tired of the pit bull dog mix running around the neighborhood on Summit Lane. The dog killed another dog some time back, he said, but was not aggressive with him. If it was, he said, “it would be dead.”

The sheriff’s office cited the dog’s owner for keeping a dog as a public nuisance.

1:33 p.m. - Someone threw a rock through the window of a car on Walla Walla Street, Umatilla. The car’s owner asked for an officer to come to his home.

1:35 p.m. - A Hermiston man reported fraudulent activity on his account.

3:27 p.m. - A Hermiston woman asked to speak to an officer about getting her ex-husband out of her house. She said she talked to her lawyer, who advised if she feared for her life there is no reason an officer should not remove the ex from the house.

4:23 p.m. - A Pendleton mother asked to speak to an officer about her son, who left home Saturday morning and has yet to return.

8:35 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault on the 300 block of Cowl Street, Milton-Freewater.

10:08 p.m. - A caller reported the theft of a red Ford pickup with a white canopy from a home on Brace Road, Irrigon. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office caught up to the pickup, talked to the driver and found out the person had permission to have the pickup.
