Icy roads led to rollovers and minor injuries, police tried to find bad dogs, and a Milton-Freewater teacher was a target.

THURSDAY


4:46 a.m. - Oregon State Police responded to a crash on icy Highway 11 near milepost 21. A 46-year-old Sherwood man suffered minor injuries when he rolled in a gold Mazda pickup. An ambulance took him to Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla.

7:32 a.m. - Icy conditions contributed to a second crash, this time on the eastbound side of Interstate 84 near milepost 214. Oregon State Police reported the 64-year-old woman lost control of a red Jeep Cherokee on the slick surface and suffered minor injuries when the vehicle rolled. An ambulance took her to St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton.

7:45 a.m. - And a third crash on icy roads involved two vehicles, according to Oregon State Police. The driver of a Toyota station wagon lost control on Highway 11 near milepost 32 and collided with a Ford Ranger that was on the side of the road. Neither driver was injured, and they drove their vehicles from the scene.

7:58 a.m. - Someone threw an egg at a teacher on the 10 block of Southwest Eighth Avenue, Milton-Freewater.

12:20 p.m. - A Hermiston officer responded to East Newport Avenue on a dog complaint.

12:29 p.m. - Umatilla police responded to Pine Tree Avenue and Powerline Road on a dog complaint.

1:32 p.m. - Two male bird dogs prompted a Heppner resident on Highway 207 to call the law. She said she feared the dogs would harm her chickens. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies did not find the dogs.

2:46 p.m. - A caller from the high school in Irrigon reported telephonic harassment. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation.

4:28 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a report of a vicious dog on East Montana Avenue but did not find the mutt.

7:10 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call to check on a female in the road at South First Street and East Feedville Road.

7:49 p.m. - A caller reported the theft of a 2002 red Honda Accord from Frontage Road, Hermiston.

9:04 p.m. - A Stanfield woman on Willow Drive told police her ex-boyfriend was driving a silver Ford Focus in front of her house. He was gone by the time police arrived. Let’s hope he stays gone.


FRIDAY


4:51 a.m. - Hermiston police responded to a burglary on the 2100 block of Northwest Overlook Drive.


ARRESTS, CITATIONS


Thursday

•Hermiston police arrested Dashawn Marquic Hudson, 34, of Portland, for driving while suspended or revoked, felony possession of methamphetamine and tampering with a witness.

Friday

•Pendleton police arrested Teeman Eli Jackson, 25, no address provided, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol) and property hit and run.
