TUESDAY


6 a.m. - The driver of a white Cadillac with a black vinyl top has been drawing complaints for ignoring the stop sign on Southeast Utah Avenue at Seventh Street. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy left a business card on the Cadillac.

8:07 a.m. - A Hermiston woman on Southwest 16th Place told police someone went into her backyard during the night, opened her garbage can full of dog food (worth $12) and dumped it all over the yard.

8:53 a.m. - Umatilla residents on John Day Street reported the theft of wood for their fireplace.

8:57 a.m. - Someone stole a rototiller from the 100 block of South Elizabeth Street, Milton-Freewater.

10:49 a.m. - Pendleton police responded to Southeast Court Place on a report of a male and female fighting.

11:21 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater resident on the 1000 block of Northeast Fourth Avenue reported the theft of prescription medicines.

12:38 p.m. - An Irrigon man on Locust Road reported his dog has been sick and he found raw hamburger last night in his yard. He said neighbors had problems with his dog and was concerned they might be poisoning his pet.

2:43 p.m. - A Hermiston man spoke to police about his ex-wife calling and harassing him.

4:01 p.m. - Two pit bull dogs on Northwest Washington Avenue, Irrigon, ran away from a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy. An Irrigon resident on the same street called at 4:30 p.m. and reported seeing two pit bull dogs at large and worried they could be after her cats.

4:48 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary at a home and shop on Tews Lane, Ione. The case is under investigation.

7:27 a.m. - A 911 caller reported cows “all over the road” at Stateline and White Reservoir roads, Milton-Freewater.

7:53 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to a fight at the Rainbow Cafe, 209 S. Main St., which led the business to ban some people for life.


ARRESTS, CITATIONS


Tuesday

•Hermiston police arrested Kevin Edward Verwey, 29, of Hermiston, for menacing and felony domestic violence assault (fourth-degree assault).

Wednesday

•Oregon State Police arrested Andy Primitivo Sanchez Jr., 40, no address provided, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

•Pendleton police arrested Samantha Edith Werdel, 44, no address provided, for felony DUII.
