Milton-Freewater had a rash of thefts, including of a radio antenna, and a bicyclist without a light lands in jail

1:18 p.m. - A caller told Pendleton police he was at the Circle K, 335 S.E. Court Ave., and the gas attendant forced him to give his bank card and punch in its code himself, claiming it was state law. The caller wanted to know if that was true.

9:51 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to a 911 call about domestic violence at a residence on Southeast Ninth Drive.


8:11 p.m. - A 911 caller reported an assault at the Eastern Oregon Alcoholism Foundation, 216 S.W. Hailey Ave., Pendleton.


4:40 a.m. - Pendleton police warned people about making too much noise at Wilson Mobile Home Park on Northeast Riverside Avenue.


7:19 a.m. - Milton-Freewater police took a report of a burglary at a shop on the 1500 block of South Main Street.

8:28 a.m. - Someone stole a radio antenna off the water tower on the 300 block of Catherine Street, Milton-Freewater.

9:04 a.m. - Barking dogs on the 200 block of Southwest Second Street, Pilot Rock, prompted a caller to complain and expressing willingness to sign a complaint.

10:56 a.m. - Umatilla police took a report about identity theft.

11:09 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater caller reported the theft of logging chains on the 1300 block of Davis Street. The theft occurred in the last two weeks.

12:17 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of “lots of screaming and yelling” at a house on the 200 block of East Gladys Avenue.

1:44 p.m. - Stanfield police took on more code enforcement starting at Locust Street and moving onto West Coe Avenue and West Wood Avenue, where a property had an “overgrown yard, belongings strewn about, dog loose without fenced lot.”

3:06 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle theft at J & J Snack Foods Corp., 103 Depot St., Weston.

6:32 p.m. - A 911 caller on Third Street, Umatilla, reported a burglary. Police took a report.

6:54 p.m. - A male and female were on foot and causing a disturbance at Southwest 11th Street and West Hermiston Avenue, Hermiston.

10:32 p.m. - A caller complained about the ruckus a utility task vehicle made speeding up and down North Townsend Road at East Punkin Center Road, Hermiston. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office did not find the vehicle.


•Milton-Freewater police arrested Skye E. Baskin, 24, a Walla Walla transient, for public indecency.

•An Oregon State Police trooper at 10:04 p.m. stopped a bicyclist for riding without a front light in Hermiston at East Tamarack Avenue and Southeast Third Street, Hermiston. The trooper arrested the rider, Joseph Ray Stewart, 42, of Hermiston, because he had a warrant for failure to appear.
