The Pendleton Lions Club in partnership with the Pendleton Parks & Recreation department recently assisted with beautification efforts with a tree-planting project.

The local service club planted six trees Oct. 10 along Southwest Frazer Avenue near the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Flagpole Park. The effort is the continuation of the Lions Legacy Project of tree planting, said John Taylor of the local Lions Club. Previously, the Lions donated trees to Pioneer Park and Grecian Heights Park.
