PENDLETON — An evening of entertaining stories and wildlife photography will be featured during Thursday’s Pendleton Birding Club. The event begins at 7 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 215 N. Main St., Pendleton.

Since early childhood and Tarzan movies, Terry Steele has dreamt of Africa.

“It took coming into my second childhood to finally get there,” Steele said.

Steele and his wife, Kay, spend more than two months camping and observing and photographing birds and beasts.

His presentation will focus mostly on birds, but also will include species such as Cape Rain Frog, Cape Cobra and the African Wildcat.
