CONDON - Cruise into history with the Gilliam County Historical Museum for the Cruise into History vintage car show from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday at the museum complex.
The show is being held in conjunction with the Hermiston Classics Car Club. The museum will observe extended hours for the day. Local owners of cars from 1972 or older are invited to enter their vehicles in the juried show for a $5 fee, which helps the museum.
Prizes will be awarded at 3 p.m. for best stock car, best stock pickup, best motorcycle, best Mopar hot rod, best GM hot rod, best Ford hot rod and people's choice/best of show. Winners will receive gift baskets.
Vendors will be available in Burns Park, next to the museum, providing meals and refreshments throughout the day. All exhibits and historical buildings will be open, including a display of car-shaped Avon cologne decanters.
Gilliam County Historical Museum is located on North Highway 19 at Burns Park, 38 miles south of the Arlington interchange at Interstate 84. Exhibits are housed in a preserved school house, tonsorial parlor, settler's cabin, city hall/jail building and a Union Pacific depot.
