Inland Northwest Orchestra and Chorale, under the leadership of director and conductor R. Lee Friese, presents a weekend of holiday concerts.

Inland Northwest Orchestra and Chorale performs at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the Mission Assembly of God Church, 47328 Short Mile Road, Pendleton; at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Echo Community Center, 20 S. Bonanza, Echo; and at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, in the Walla Walla Seventh Day Adventist City Church, 2133 Howard St., Walla Walla.

The public is welcome. The music celebrations are free with receptions to follow.

The orchestra is performing the Suite from The Nutcracker by Peter Ilych Tchaikovsky (1840-1893). The chorale joins the orchestra in performing Antonio Vivaldi's (1678-1741) Gloria.

In addition to these major works, a brass choir will perform, and the chorale will include seasonal carols, which include percussion, flute and oboe.

Inland Northwest Musicians is in its fifth season of performances. More than 80 concerts have been given throughout Northeast Oregon and Southeast Washington. Musicians in the organization travel from as far away as Enterprise, Waitsburg, Wash., and Fossil to share in their commitment to their art.
