ROBERT BURNS DAY CELEBRATION, begins at 2 p.m. at the Condon Elk Lodge, 117 S. Main St. An event to honor Condon's Scottish heritage. Bagpipers, readings, a shortbread contest, Scottish delicacies and a concert at 7 p.m., featuring the Portland Police Highland Guard. There is a fee. Call (541) 384-2421 for ticket information.

RETURN TO MT. EVEREST BY THE OREGON EAST SYMPHONY, 3:15 p.m. at Vert Auditorium, Southwest Dorion Avenue, Pendleton. Ken Woods conducting Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1 and Bill Mayclin conducting the OES Chorale.
