PENDLETON - Those wanting to pick up some new dance moves are invited to a line dancing class at the Hawthorne School Gym in Pendleton Aug. 29 from 7 to 8 p.m. The cost is $5. Proceeds will go toward the cost of spaying, neutering and upkeep at Cat Companions shelter.

April Dyntera, dance instructor at Blue Mountain Community College, said she decided to hold the class to raise money for the local organization and to get locals dancing.

"I offered to teach the class in hopes to get some people thinking about Round-Up, and so they can join in the fun," she said. "Dancing is my passion and I really love teaching and sharing that passion with others."

For information on the class, call Cat Companions at 541-278-2287.
