ATHENA - The Athena Public Library recently announced several upcoming events.

The book group meets 6:30 p.m. Monday at the library, 418 E. Main St., Athena, to discuss "Jump Off Creek," by Molly Gloss. The summer reading program begins Monday at 10 a.m., which is open to ages 6-12.

On Wednesday, "Sagebrush Story" by Jody Foss will feature the sights and sounds of the Eastern Oregon woman's mule trips.
