MILTON-FREEWATER - Holidays evoke memories, so in December Oldies Night @ The Library transports you into the past to remember Christmas 1975. Thirty-five years ago at Christmastime, your favorite Top 40 radio station was playing "Saturday Night" by the Bay City Rollers, "Convoy" by C.W. McCall and "Sky High" by Jigsaw. They probably threw in some holiday favorites like "Merry Christmas, Darling" by the Carpenters, "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms and "Pretty Paper" by Roy Orbison. Perhaps they also played a novelty record such as "Santa Claus and His Old Lady" by Cheech and Chong.

Relive your memories of Christmas '75 on Friday, Dec. 3 at the Milton-Freewater Public Library, 8 S.W. Eight Ave. You'll hear the top hits of that holiday season along with perennial Christmas favorites. The holiday cheer begins at 7:30 p.m. and runs until 10:30 p.m., but the memories stirred up will last until the new year. Admission is free, as is parking for your reindeer. Call Bob Jones at 541-938-8246 for more information.
