PENDLETON — Together, David Brewer and Rebecca Lomnicky bring an exciting synergy of tradition, technique and enthusiasm to the stage. The sounds of bagpipes and fiddle blend into a powerhouse of sound as the duo bridges the gap between modern compositions and the ancient peoples’ music of Scotland.

Local guitarist Peter Willis will join the duo to provide a rich rhythmic backdrop as they perform Friday at 7 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 215 N. Main St., Pendleton. Tickets purchased in advance are $13 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. They can be purchased at Armchair Books, the Pendleton Music Company and Pendleton Center for the Arts. At the door, tickets are $15 and $10.

Willis is a founding member of the West Coast Celtic band Molly’s Revenge. Lomnicky is the 2009 winner of the Glenfiddich International Scottish Fiddle Championship and is currently studying at Cornell University. For more information, call Peter at 503-507-3261.
