Everything from discipline and family violence to nutrition tricks, sensory processing and art explorations with young children are the topics of a Pendleton conference sponsored by the Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children.

“Children Bring Communities Together” is Saturday, April 13, with registration at 7:30 a.m. at Blue Mountain Community College, 2411 N.W. Carden Ave., Pendleton. Registration fee is $55, which includes lunch, door prizes and vendor shopping. In addition, eductors can obtain professional development units.

The sessions are relevant for parents, grandparents, students, agencies, teachers, paraprofessionals, family daycare providers, preschool teachers and child care providers. Several classes are offered in Spanish and English.
