HERMISTON — A two-week camp exploring fiber arts will provide information on basic techniques in weaving, sewing and fabric painting. During the Color Art Camp, participants will learn how to make dolls or puppets, how to finger weave, how to weave on a basic loom and create a tapestry.

Offered through Hermiston Parks and Recreation, the sessions are Monday through Thursdays from Aug. 13-Aug. 23. The time slots available are 9-10:30 a.m. or 1-2:30 p.m.

The cost is $40 for residents or $50 for non-residents. Early registration is recommended. For more information, including the class location, call 541-667-5018 or stop by the Parks Office at 180 N.E. Second St., Hermiston.
