PENDLETON — It’s watermelon season, and that can present a bit of a problem for some Pendleton Farmers’ Market shoppers in getting the big, sweet melon to their vehicles.

Problem solved — market organizers have a little red wagon people can use. It makes shopping fun and it’s available at the market’s information booth.

The market is tonight from 4-7:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Main Street. There will be samples at the Kitchen Cart, live music by Ron Martin and a free kids activity by the Children’s Museum of Eastern Oregon.

The market accepts WIC and EBT cards. For more information, visit
