HERMISTON — A retirement roast and toast will be held to honor Margaret Saylor. The celebration is Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at the Eastern Oregon Higher Education Center, 975 S.E. Columbia Drive, Hermiston.

Saylor, who served as the senior associate vice president, started her career at Blue Mountain Community College in 1975. During Saylor’s tenure, the Hermiston branch of the community college grew from a home office to the 22,000-square-foot Eastern Oregon Higher Education Center, which opened a year ago.

The public is encouraged to come and wish Saylor well as she enters retirement.
