PENDLETON — The season finale of the A Sharp Players features “The Sound of Spring.”

The free concert is Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Pendleton High School, 1800 N.W. Carden Ave.

The intermediate preparatory orchestra under the direction of Bruce Walker will perform Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No. 5,” the first movement of Schubert’s “Major Symphony and selections from “The Sound of Music.” The Preludes Orchestra and the Second Year Symphony Strings Orchestra, both under the direction of symphony concertmaster Lisa Robertson and Rebekah Facciuto, also will perform.

All the ensembles performing are part of the Oregon East Symphony’s Playing for Keeps program, a kindergarten through 12th grade classical music education program.
