OHV Park hosts poker run

HEPPNER - The Fourth Annual OHV EMS High Card Poker Run will help raise money for supplies used for emergency services at the Morrow-Grant County OHV Park. The event is Saturday, with signups beginning at 8:30 a.m., at the park, located 30 miles south of Heppner on Highway 207.

The first rider out is at 10 a.m. and the cut off time for turning in a poker hand is 1 p.m. for prizes. A mandatory rider meeting begins at 9:45 a.m.

Cost to participate in the event is $10 per person or $40 for a family with children under age 21. Cost for the barbecue only is $5 for individuals or $20 for a family. Combo tickets are $15 per person or $60 for a family.

Children under 7 years old won't be allowed to ride a motorcycle and those between 7-15 must have an operator permit and be accompanied by an adult with a driver's license or permit.

Additionally, in order to ride the vehicle must have an approved spark arrestor and current OHV tags. Riders must wear a helmet and no medical insurance is provided by the event organizers.
