TEMPE, Ariz. - Rachel Johnson-Ellner, a 2002 graduate of Pendleton High School, has recently been named to the Dean's List at Arizona State University in the College of Public Programs.

She is a social work major. The School of Social Work emphasizes advocacy, community development, and research.

The Tempe campus of ASU has an enrollment of approximately 52,000 students. President Obama spoke last month at the graduation ceremony, and the university has named a scholarship foundation in his honor.
