STANFIELD - Ronald McDonald will help kick off the summer reading program at the Stanfield Public Library.

The familiar clown will make an appearance Monday at 10:30 a.m., at the library, 180 W. Coe Ave. The first 100 kids to arrive will receive a free book.

The program from June 15 through July 20 is open to pre-schoolers on Tuesdays from 10:30-11 a.m., youths in kindergarten through sixth grade on Wednesdays from 1-2 p.m. and teenagers on Fridays from 2-3 p.m.

Activities will include book-making, story-telling, a magician, snacks, prizes and painting. Call the library at 541-449-1254 for more information.
