LA GRANDE - The annual Lanetta Paul and Friends Recital will be held Sunday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, at Fourth and Spring streets.

Admission is free, but donations offered will go to the Don and Lanetta Paul Music Scholarship at Eastern Oregon University. The scholarship was started in 1997, along with the first recital, and has been an annual event since.

The Pauls match each donation dollar-for-dollar.

The program will feature soloists Peter Wordelman and Adelquis Salomon on piccolo trumpets; Keith Koster on bassoon; vocalists Mary Helen, Suzette Garoutte, Bruce Anderson and Malia Anderson; and Audrey Marier, Bern Youngblood, Cathy Herrmann, and MaeLee Morris playing violin.

Last year's proceeds from the scholarship were given to Mikiko Aoki, an EOU organ student from Japan.
