MORO - A project is underway to restore the historic Deschutes Railroad water tower at Harris Canyon. The tower, which stands on property owned by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife 11 miles upstream from the mouth of the Deschutes River in Sherman County, is 100 years old.

Volunteers will begin the restoration process next month and need money for scaffolding, roofing materials and historic signage.
