PENDLETON — CHI St. Anthony Hospital in April awarded St. Anthony Medical Staff Human Health Science Scholarships to 20 Eastern Oregon high school seniors, and CHI St. Anthony Hospital Volunteers awarded to college-level scholarships.

Students earning $1,000 scholarships, and their intended area of study:

Pendleton High School: James Bradt (optometrist); Delaney Clem (physician); Clancy Deutz (medical field); Zoe Hern (medical technologist); Sydney Jones (neonatologist); Janeal Merriman (obstetrician); Kaleigh Waggoner (pediatric nurse).

Ukiah High School: Bruna Falci (medical field)

Echo High School: Erica Parks (pharmacist)

Pilot Rock High School: Megan Glynn (nurse)

Students earning $500 scholarships, and their intended area of study:

Pendleton High School: Tianna Barfuss (nurse); Chyenne Carey (nurse); Dylan Clemons (nurse practitioner); Jennifer McDougall (nurse); Tanner Pearson (medical field); Lauren Roberts (pediatric nurse); Olivia Simpson (radiologic techonologist); Jason Townsley (physician); Sarah Watkins (medical field).

Griswold High School (Helix): Paden Flerchinger (medical field)

College students earning $2,000 scholarships, and their area of study:

Rachel Phinney, Boise State University (health science with an emphasis on gerontology)

Rebecca Wagner, Gonzaga University (nursing)
