Head Saturday Night Live writer Tina Fey has proven herself a success at screen writing with this gem aptly titled "Mean Girls."

This hilarious story showcases "girl world," as it comes to be known to Caddy, the new girl in school, played by Lindsay Loan. Caddy has been home schooled her whole life and is not prepared for how mean teenage girls can be to each other. When she is welcomed into a shallow clique of girls called "the plastics" by their peers, she learns the leader of the group, Regina, (Rachel McAdams) may be the most popular girl in school, but shealso is the most hated. Soon Caddy, vowing revenge for one of Regina's bitter betrayals, becomes her own worst enemy, all while chaos ensues throughout the rest of the school.

This was a charming film, and I laughed aloud throughout the whole thing. My husband nudged me a few times, when Regina was up to no good, indicating that perhaps, I too, shared some of her "mean girl" quality. But it was all in good fun. It had to be - Tina Fey is a comic genius - and this film proves that for a fact.

Don't wait for video to see this one. Treat yourself to a laugh and see this at once. Then see it again when it arrives on video.
