The Dirt Dabblers Garden Club recently awarded a pair of Educational Garden Scholarships.

The recipients include Weston McEwen High School, who received $600. The money will be used to purchase a garden shed to store gardening tools. Also, the Tower Garden at InterMountain Education Service District received $148 for gardening equipment.

The gardening enthusiasts meet monthly in Pendleton. In addition to sharing tips, Dirt Dabblers assist with the maintenance of the rose garden around the Vert Auditorium, hosts a yearly plant sale and provides support to several nonprofit organizations.
