Foundation Trust receives award

<p>The Pendleton Foundation Trust was honored at the 2011 Philanthropy Awards luncheon held Tuesday, Nov. 15 in Portland.</p>

PENDLETON?— The Pendleton Foundation Trust was honored and celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 15 as one of the state’s top philanthropic organizations during the 2011 Philanthropy Awards luncheon. The event, attended by about 900 people, was hosted by the Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and was held in Portland.

Steve Corey, former Foundation Trust secretary, introduced the Pendleton Foundation Trust at the event and presented the award. Board Chairman Kevin Hale accepted the award. Other board members present were John McBee, Pat Terjeson, Sharon Brown and board secretary Jeri Bealer.

 The trust, founded in 1928, is the oldest community trust fund in the state of Oregon.
