Students from the Irrigon Umatilla-Morrow County Head Start presented a donation of $73 Wednesday to a representative of the Friends of the Irrigon Library.

During a walk to the city hall complex where the library is under construction, the students enjoyed story time on the lawn.

Earlier in the week, the children went to the Bank of Eastern Oregon with coins they collected. On Wednesday, the group walked to the site where the library is being built.

When asked what kind of books they liked, the answers ranged from monsters to princesses, Dora, My Little Pony, race cars and monster trucks.
