Five new math classrooms are now finished and open for business above the cafeteria at Mac Hi. To celebrate the completion, an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony was held earlier this week.

School Board President George Gillette; Mac Hi Principal Ralph Brown; Vice Principal and Athletic director Jay Rodighiero and Superintendent Marilyn McBride participated in the actual ribbon cutting. Other board members and Chamber of Commerce ambassadors were also at the event.

Next year, hopefully by the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year, the school will celebrate the completion of a new science department. Science teacher, Michelle Snyder, available during the open house to take people through the unfinished project, was enthusiastic about what will be her new digs.

"It's going to be just beautiful," she said.
