Congratulations are in order to all Riverside Jr./Sr. High School students who participated in the Eastern Oregon University Regional Math Contest.

Students placing in the contest include: Edith Velasco, first in “Solve that Problem” for Algebra 2; Misael Madrigal, first in “Math Bee” for Algebra 1; Laura Ponce, second in “Solve that Problem” for Pre-Calculus; Lacey Mashos, second in the State Exam. Mashos also qualified to compete at the 34th Annual Oregon Invitational Mathematics Tournament Saturday, May 17 at Oregon State University in Corvallis.

Others who participated include Stephanie Madrigal, Alisha Sorensen, Brian Gonzalez, Kylar Sorensen, Abram Hernandez, Juana Martinez, Marino Pena, Tania Mendoza, Fabian Meza, Jared Miller, Luis Olvera, Yeidi Ramos, Brendy Avalos and Veronica Alvarez.
